New Hardware at MacWorld 2000 NYC
The surprise of MacWorld Expo NYC 2000, held from July 19-21 at the Javits Center, was the G4 Cube, matched with the $999 15" flat panel Apple Studio Display, the $499 17"Apple Studio Display and the $3999 flat panel Apple Cinema Display. New iMac colors Indigo, Ruby, Sage, Snow and a tweaked Graphite brightened the Apple booth. All but Snow feature transparent plastics similar to current iMac DV models. Indigo and Ruby are deep, jewel-like colors while Sage and Graphite are subtle and subdued. Snow is translucent, like a melting snowball.
