Join us on *Thursday*, February 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Golisano Hall, Room 103 on the Hartwick College campus in Oneonta, NY for the first 2012 meeting of MUG ONE, the Macintosh User Group of Oneonta, NY. *Note that MUG ONE will meet on the first Thursday for the spring semester.

Elsa Travisano will talk about setting up and using iCloud, Apple’s set of free cloud services. iCloud can keep your photos, music, photos, apps, contacts, calendars and documents and keep them up to date wirelessly and automatically across all your devices.

Then Brian Foley will introduce us to Bento, FileMaker’s affordable, appealing and easy-to-use personal database software with versions for the Mac, iPad and iPhone/iPod touch.

As always, the meeting will begin with a question and answer session and end with a door prize drawing for current members and refreshments for all.

We’re delighted to host renowned technology writer and publisher Adam Engst for his annual MUG ONE presentation on Wednesday, November 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Golisano Hall, Room 103 on the Hartwick College campus in Oneonta, NY.

Here’s Adam’s program description:

“Mac OS X 10.7 Lion has been out for a few months now, and with September’s flood cancellation, we haven’t yet had a meeting delving into its details. That will be resolved in November when special guest Adam Engst, publisher of TidBITS and Take Control, makes his annual visit to Oneonta. Adam will be showing the major new features in Lion, talking about who they’re aimed at, how well they work for different kinds of Mac users, and – for those still using Snow Leopard – whether they’re sufficiently compelling to encourage you to upgrade sooner rather than later.”

As always, Adam will be ready to field questions and bring us up to date on the latest from Apple.

Our November 2 MUG ONE meeting will feature a bigger and better presentation on OS 10.7 Lion by renowned Mac author, publisher and favorite MUG ONE presenter Adam Engst!
